Michelle Keating-Sibel Menopause Society Certified Practitioner Credentialed

We are proud to announce that Michelle Keating-Sibel, DNP, CRNP, FNP-BC, has earned The Menopause Society Certified Practitioner credential, recognizing her demonstrated expertise in menopause and midlife women’s health.

Michelle’s full professional designation is now:

Michelle Keating-Sibel, DNP, CRNP, FNP-BC, MSCP

What is a Menopause Society designation?

The MSCP credential is awarded to licensed healthcare professionals who pass The Menopause Society’s competency examination and demonstrate specialized knowledge in menopause and midlife care.

This achievement reflects her continued commitment to thoughtful, individualized care and complements her experience in family medicine, women’s health, obesity medicine, metabolic health, and preventive care.

Healthcare credentials can be confusing, but each one represents a different part of a clinician’s education, licensure, certification, or specialized training.

Michelle’s full professional designation is: Michelle Keating-Sibel, DNP, CRNP, FNP-BC, MSCP

DNP: Doctor of Nursing Practice
Michelle has earned a clinical doctorate in nursing practice. This advanced degree emphasizes evidence-based care, clinical leadership, healthcare quality, population health, and the application of research to improve patient outcomes.

CRNP: Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
CRNP is the professional designation used for nurse practitioners licensed in Pennsylvania. It reflects Michelle’s authorization to evaluate patients, diagnose and manage medical conditions, order and interpret testing, prescribe medications, and provide preventive and ongoing healthcare within her professional scope of practice.

FNP-BC: Family Nurse Practitioner–Board Certified
This national board certification reflects Michelle’s preparation to care for patients across the lifespan and manage a broad range of acute, chronic, and preventive health concerns.

MSCP: Menopause Society Certified Practitioner
The MSCP credential is awarded to licensed healthcare professionals who pass The Menopause Society’s competency examination and demonstrate expertise in menopause and midlife healthcare. The Society created the examination to establish standards for menopause practice and help patients identify clinicians with advanced knowledge in this area.

Michelle has also earned the Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity Medicine from the Obesity Medicine Association. This certificate required at least 60 hours of qualifying obesity-focused continuing education and recognizes extensive education in evidence-based obesity treatment. Unlike MSCP, it is an educational certificate and does not add directly to her credentials (additional letters after her name).  However, it is a certification that is worthy of distinction.

Michelle’s credentials and specialized education represent more than letters after her name. They reflect years of education, clinical experience, national certification, specialized study, and a continued commitment to helping patients feel heard and receive thoughtful, informed care.

For Michelle’s patients, these qualifications reflect a commitment to using current, evidence-based recommendations while looking beyond any single symptom or number on the scale. Treatment plans are individualized based on each patient’s medical history, risks, preferences, and goals, with care informed by ongoing professional education as the evidence continues to evolve.
